GodFinger

GodFinger
Free

What It Has: Taking a lot of tips from Bolt Creative's app Pocket God, GodFinger, in itself; is a moderately full-featured app. A fairly original concept to the iPhone, GodFinger puts the player in full control of an island of characters, and the rest is up to you. Every decision that you make has an astoundingly interesting impact on your planet. You can level up and acquire new powers, items, and many other features that only add to the interesting gameplay. Add impressive graphics and a beautiful interface into the mix, and it looks like ngmoco has a hit.

What It's Missing: One huge complaint that I had while testing this app is the amount of crashing I experienced. Now, don't get me wrong; the app works very well, but it crashes rather often. However, this is understandable for such a huge app that's only a little over a week old. After a while the app occasionally gets a little dull, but this app isn't made to play for hours at a time; it's more of a pick-up-and-play for a few minutes every day. Many customers have complained that an internet connection is necessary to play, but many of the app's features require an internet connection to work, such as sending gifts to friends. My guess is that the developer wants to consistently give the user the full experience of the app, or the app simply can't handle running on 3G alone quite yet.
