Things
$9.99
What It Has: Based on, and syncable with, the popular Mac application with the same name, Things is a wonderful task manager 'To-Do' application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. With specific folders and sections designed to keep you on track, specified lists of tasks are never more than a tap or two away. With the most recent update, the graphics have been updated to fully support the iPhone 4's Retina Display, and it looks gorgeous. It doesn't over-complicate anything, while not making it too simple either.

What It's Missing: As good as this app is, it's far from perfect. It's lack of many crucial features, including repeating tasks and an iPad version, may cause some users to prefer other options like Dunnit or 2Do. The only option to sync with a desktop does require the Mac program, which requires another purchase. While it is gorgeous, it's price tag of $9.99 is far too much for what the app provides, despite it's appearance. However, the developer (Cultured Code) has promised an update including many of the key missing features, but a date hasn't been released.
